Bayside Fire Station Addition, Kodiak, AK This project involved concrete footings/foundation walls and steel framing construction. EMC was the onsite inspection firm working with the contractor and the KIB to ensure project success. Complete in 2009 - $2.2M Bethel Airport Parallel Runway The Bethel airport is the fourth busiest airport in Alaska, and is only exceeded by Anchorage International airport for the number of small and commuter planes. This project constructed a new parallel runway in Bethel, including new lighting and electrical systems. Complete in 2010 - $9.5M Chignik Lagoon Airport Runway Repairs, AK City of Kodiak Police Station and Jail, Kodiak, AK This project involved an intricate system of interlocking grade beams and extensive concrete walls, as well as a significant structural slab. Complete in 2010 - $22.8M
Community Recycling Center, Wasilla, AK This project is a new recycling center and development of a manufacturing section. $4M
Dillingham Water Treatment Plant, Dillingham, AK This project includes a new water treatment plant, new 300'ft deep well, well supply line, well pump, power protection, 5MG bolted tank, connecting new water supply with the existing system, and work site improvements on roads, and fencing. Complete 2015 - $7.7M
Eareckson Air Station, Shemya, AK Eareckson AS Airfield Pavement Repairs US Army Corps of Engineers, Shemya, Alaska Rehabilitation of a 10,000 foot runway, two taxiways and two aprons with concrete aircraft tiedowns. Complete in 2010 - $55M
Emmonak Airport Rehabilitation and Apron Expansion, Emmonak, AK This project is the third phase of rehabilitating the Emmonak airport. This phase includes rehabilitate 300' x 400' of the main apron, and install airport lighting. Complete 2014 - $3.6M
This project consists of new construction of a 44,400 square foot hangar. The Hangar has concrete slab on grade foundation, steel framed facility with masonry or metal siding and standing metal seam roof. Complete in 2010 - $22.4M
Goose Creek Correctional Center, Point MacKenzie, AK This project is a new 1,536 bed medium-security correctional center. The compound will have five separate buildings to a total of approximately 430,000 square feet. This is the largest tilt-up concrete project in Alaska. Complete in 2012 - $240M
Kana Koniag Near Island Office Building, Kodiak, AK EMC was onsite from groundbreaking to the beginning of interior framing/finish work serving several purposes. EMC performed onsite Owner’s Representative services as well as all special inspections and materials testing. This building consisted of concrete footings/foundation walls, ICF and CIP retaining/shear walls and steel framing. Complete 2009 - $13M
Kenai Lowe’s Store, Kenai, Kodiak, AK The Kenai Lowe's Store is a pre-cast concrete tilt-up 150,000 ft2 building. Completed 2009 - $24M
Kodiak Launch Complex, Kodiak, AK This project expanded the Kodiak Launch Complex by adding an additional launch pad, and rocket motor storage facility. It involved two concrete and steel underground storage buildings as well as a concrete tilt-up utility annex building. The storage buildings contained four massive retaining/wing walls. EMC performed all materials testing and special inspection services for AK Aerospace Corporation as well as onsite Quality Control for the remote concrete batch plant. Complete in 2012 - $42 Million

Nightmute Airport Relocation, Nightmute, AK This project consists of widening as well as extending the runway, construction of a new taxiway and apron, reconstruction of the access road, installation of a new lighting system, as well as two snow removal equipment storage buildings.
Ouzinkie Airport Relocation, Kodiak, AK This project includes a new runway, taxiway, airport lights, snow removal equipment building and two miles of access road. - $15M
Pilar Mountain Wind Turbine Project Ph I and II, Kodiak, AK Construction consisted of massive concrete footings with post tensioned bolts as wells as large amounts of epoxy resin grout. Completed in 2009 - $21.4M South Peninsula Hospital Expansion Phase II, Homer, AK Cast in place concrete and moment frame steel structure. $12M
Susitna Valley Jr/Sr High School, Talkeetna, AK Completed 2009 - $18M
St. Herman Harbor Boat Lift Facility, Kodiak, AK This project consisted of a structural concrete curb, large structural concrete wash slab and CMU utility building. The new lift can hoist boats up to 180 feet long, 42 feet wide, and 660 tons. This is also one of ten models of its kind in the world, and one of two in North America. Completed 2009 - $10M
